The big blind and small blind refer to the amount that players occupying these two positions at the table must place into the pot before any cards are dealt. The big blind is typically twice the size of the small blind, although not always.
Big Slick is a common nickname for the poker hand ace-king. According to legend, the hand was previously called Santa Barbara after the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill, and over time it changed to simply Big Slick.
